At Baranded, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1) Information We Collect

• Account data: Email and password (hashed). If you sign in with Google, we store your email and an internal identifier.
• Project data: Answers from the brand questionnaire and any content used to generate logos or other brand assets.
• Session & cookies: Necessary session cookies keep you signed in and protect the service. If you opt in, we also use analytics cookies and similar technologies for product measurement.
• Usage activity: Product lifecycle events such as email verification, snapshot completion, asset saves, downloads, and upgrade-gate interactions.
• Preferences: Your cookie choices and email marketing opt-in choice.
• Marketing attribution: When available, first-party campaign parameters such as utm_* values, landing page path, and referrer domain tied to signup or login flows.

2) How We Use Your Data

• Provide your account and securely save your brand materials.
• Generate design assets (e.g., icons, logos) based on your inputs.
• Send service messages (e.g., verification, password reset).
• Send product news and offers if you’ve opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime).
• Measure product usage, improve the product, and understand which acquisition sources lead to signups and retained customers.
• Build first-party audience segments for lifecycle emails, suppression, and campaign reporting.

3) Cookies

We use necessary cookies for authentication and security. If you opt in, we also use analytics cookies and similar technologies from providers such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how Baranded is used.

Advertising or remarketing cookies remain off unless you choose to enable them. You can reopen Cookie Preferences from the footer at any time and change your selection.

4) Sharing

We don't sell your personal data. We use trusted processors (e.g., email, analytics, marketing, payments, and hosting providers) under data protection agreements to operate Baranded securely.

5) Payments

If you purchase a paid plan, payments are processed by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). Paddle may collect and process payment and billing information (such as payment method, billing address, tax/VAT details, and transaction information). Baranded does not store full payment card details.

We receive limited information from Paddle (such as your subscription status, plan, and purchase identifiers) to provide access to paid features, handle customer support, prevent fraud/abuse, and maintain records.

6) Data Retention

We retain your account and project data while your account is active. You can delete your account in Account Settings, which permanently removes personal and project data.

7) Your Rights

If applicable (e.g., under GDPR), you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of your data; object to processing; or withdraw marketing consent. Contact: [email protected].

8) Security

We use encryption, access controls, and secure session handling to protect your data. No method is 100% secure, but we continuously improve safeguards.

9) International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own. We implement appropriate safeguards where required by law.

10) Updates

We may update this policy for legal or product reasons. Changes will appear on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
